Executive Management Team
The Thames Water Group Executive Management Team (EMT) is responsible for the day-to-day running of the business.
The EMT consists of the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Chief Operating Officer (COO) and five senior executive managers.
The members of the EMT are listed below:

David Owens, Chief Executive Officer
David Owens joined Thames Water in December 2006 as Chief Executive Officer. Prior to this he was with Macquarie from early 2006 and led the business strategy team working on the bid for Thames Water.

Steve Shine, Chief Operating Officer
Steve Shine joined Thames Water in January 2007 as Chief Operating Officer, having previously held the position of Chief Executive Officer at SGB UK, a position he occupied since 2003.

Mark Braithwaite, Chief Financial Officer
Mark Braithwaite joined Thames Water in August 2007, having previously held the position of Finance Director of customer and energy divisions at EDF Energy plc.

Peter Antolik, Strategy and Regulation Director
Peter Antolik was appointed the interim Director of Regulation and Strategy in February 2007, before being appointed to the post permanently in August 2007. From 1 October 2008, Peter became Strategy and Regulation Director under the new Asset Owner Service Provider model.

Mel Karam, Asset Management Director
Mel Karam Joined Thames Water as Asset Management Director on 1 December 2008, under the new Asset Owner Service Provider model.

Kathryn Riley, Human Resources Director
Kathryn Riley is an experienced Human Resources professional with corporate, consultancy and interim management experience at Director and Board level.

Mike Tempest, Customer Services Director
Mike Tempest was appointed as Director of Customer Services in October 2006.
Mike joined Thames Water in 1997 on the water supply side of the business. Since then he has held a number of senior positions including Director of Waste Water Operations, and Engineering Director.

Steve Walker, Major Projects Director
Steve Walker has been Major Projects Director since January 2007. He is responsible for the development of the London Tideway Tunnels project and other key investment issues.
