  • Company pension scheme
    Highlights include: pension linked to service and salary, an accrual rate of 1/80th with the option to increase to a 1/67th, annual increases in line with inflation up to 2.5% per year, retirement from as early as fifty five, and the option to take a cash lump sum, currently tax free.

  • Life assurance
    Pension scheme members are covered by life assurance at four times basic annual salary.

  • Annual leave
    A minimum of 24 days annual leave. Annual leave entitlements rise to a maximum of 30 days (except for new employees in management grades who start on 25 days and do not accrue further).

  • Childcare vouchers
    To help with the costs of childcare, we offer a voucher scheme in association with Sodexho PASS. Vouchers are bought from employee?s pre-tax salary and can be redeemed at different childcare organisations, saving up to £1,066 per year.

  • Personal accident scheme
    Automatic cover under this scheme provides compensation in the event of death or serious injury.

  • A confidential advice service
    Guidance on finances, the law, education, health and family matters.

  • You@work
    Preferential rates for a number of goods and services including motoring assistance, visitor attractions and leisure facilities.

  • Season ticket loans
    Buy annual bus or rail tickets through payroll, tax free, to spread the cost of travel over a period of 11 months.

  • Job requirement car
    If your role requires travel over 10,000 miles per year, or there is a clear operational need for you to have a car to fulfill your role you may be entitled to a job requirement car or car allowance.

  • Loyalty awards
    We think it's important to acknowledge employees who are committed to the company. In recognition of their contribution, we offer loyalty awards at 1, 5, 10, 20 and 40 years of service.

  • Middle management package
    Employees in middle management are eligible for some additional benefits:

  • Annual management bonus
    An annual bonus dependent on company and personal performance.

  • Car allowance
    All management level employees are eligible to receive a car allowance.

  • Private health care
    Available to all managers and their immediate families.

  • Senior management package
    Also includes a Biennial Health Screening through BUPA, and a long term incentive plan.
